The human body is an interesting thing and being the living organism that it is, certain things may change and alter over time. Sometimes these changes can result in changes to their physical appearance that no one ever really wants. Whether it’s stretch marks, cellulite, or other disfigurement of the skin, this is one thing most people are all self conscious about.
Typical skin frustrations include the dark patches that can appear under the armpits, the neck and inner thighs. This discoloration can stem from a number of reasons be it sun spots, diabetes, obesity, genitourinary or gastrointestinal cancers, and those who have had hormonal treatments may also experience these darkened patches.
While there are treatments and products to get them removed, most of them are chemical ridden can be quite expensive. Instead, we’ve found a few natural solutions which can be done at home.
For the first one, all you need is Sodium Bicarbonate (baking soda), olive oil and salt. Using one tablespoon of each, mix the ingredients until they form a paste. Then, apply to the skin and let stand for twenty minutes.
The next solution is a great technique if the stains are quite dark, using white clay, lemon and milk to combat these areas. Mix equal portions of lemon, milk, an a clump of white clay in a bowl until they are well blended. Apply the mixture to the affected area and leave on for 15 minutes before washing with cold water.
For best results, it is recommended that which ever remedy you chose be performed 3 times a week and, during the treatment, try to avoid direct sunlight.
Some final tips are to drink a lot of water to ensure you stay hydrated and to use sea salt, skim milk, and extra virgin olive oil. Coconut oil can also be added to either mixture.
