Every child is taught from a very young age to be respectful towards the elderly people in society, a lesson the majority of people adhere to as they become adults. With the elderly now living longer fuller lives, they now require help with small jobs from time to time.
When Chris was recently on a family outing, he spotted an old man hunched over while struggling to push a large lawnmower. Not one to drive by such a situation, Chris turned to his wife Tara and did something wonderful.
Tara decided to share what happened that very day on facebook via Love What Matters page. She was in awe of Chris’s actions that day, knowing that what he done that day truly reflects the character he is and his caring nature.
“This is one of the many reasons I love my husband. As we are driving home with Kylie and Gage, Chris suddenly turns the jeep around and says, ‘Take the food home and come back and get me.’ I didn’t know what he had seen but said okay.”
Initially she was a slight bit alarmed, but when she saw what her husband did for the old man her heart melted. Chris showed what a caring and loving human being he is pulling over and parking the car.
He then jumped out of the vehicle and approached the elderly stranger. The elderly man appeared to be struggling with the task he had undertaken.
“We pull up and Chris takes the push mower from this elderly gentleman. I pray that my son learns from this and randomly helps people do things like his father does.”
The amazing kind act actions of Chris that day were a great example for his young son, showing him how to respect and help the elderly whenever he can. The world needs people like Chris in it to teach youngsters about being selfless and helping others – especially the elderly.
What a compassionate and selfless act Chris carried out that day. He performed this act out of the goodness of his heart not seeking any accolades for his actions, simply because he is a caring, good and honest human being.
When he saw someone struggling he immediately reacted and jumped to their aid. Acts like this remind us of what a blessing we can be to others and what a true gentleman Chris is.
The elderly gentleman was very thankful for the help he received from Chris. At time it can be the little things we do for others that mean the world to them.
