Jerk refuses to put cigarette out at gas station, then karma hits back with full force

Rules are made and rules are made to be broken.

Well at least that is what some people think

We all have that part of rebellion inside us as we are growing up, and at every chance we got, we would try prove our parents wrong.

Even as we grow into adulthood, we find rules that we don’t see any sense in and have tendency to break them.

Let’s face it, rules and laws are put there for good reasons (although some may disagree) — they are often used to protect us and our communities from danger.

One example is — do not smoke at a gas station. (seems logical as gas can combust easily)

This rule isn’t to make smokers lives more difficult, it’s just common sense because guess what — it can actually be a life-threatening danger.

All of us (or at least most) know better than to light a cigarette, lighter or any type of fire at a gas station.

If the gas comes in contact with a flame or cigarette and manages to combust, you and everyone in the area is in a lot of danger.

Just this week, a man drove into a gas station for a refill. As he exited his motor vehicle, the security camera picked him up him holding a cigarette in his hand that was lighting.

Apparently he had been told numerous times to quench the cigarette and dispose of it but he paid no heed and just kept on smoking right beside the gas pumps.

When a gas station employee saw what was taking place, he decided to take action into his own hands and grabbed the nearest fire extinguisher.

Judging by what we can see from the security footage, the driver who was smoking the cigarette didn’t actually think the staff member would use the fire extinguisher. You can see the man acting completely carefree as the employee approaches him with the extinguisher in his hands.

But the staff member was not going to hold back in teaching this idiot a lesson.

In many states in the US it is a felony to smoke in the premises of gas stations. In Virgina, for example:

46.2-819.4. Smoking in proximity to gas pumps; penalty.

“Any person who smokes or uses an open flame within 20 feet of a pump used to fuel motor vehicles or a fueling tanker being used to deliver gasoline to a gasoline station is guilty of a Class 3 misdemeanor if smoking or the use of an open flame is prohibited by a sign at the pump. Any person who causes a fire or explosion as a result of a violation of this section is guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor.”

Thankfully, for other members of the public, this man acted quickly enough to stop this idiot smoker.

Nobody knows, if somebody had not intervened, this could of ended in tragedy.

The incident took place in Sofia, Bulgaria, India Today reports.

You can watch it for yourself below.

Share if you also think the man with the fire extinguisher did the right thing, which without a doubt put the smoker in his place and taught him a lesson!
